Concrete and masonry are commonly used as structural materials throughout the world. During this course, students will familiarize themselves with basic structural design for these materials. The application of Eurocode 2 (concrete) and Eurocode 6 (masonry), European standards for design of these structures, is introduced. The similarities between concrete and masonry will be highlighted, but it should be noted that structures created with these materials each has its own characteristics. In this course.
