https://tue.osiris-student.nl/onderwijscatalogus/extern/cursus?cursuscode=2IRR70&collegejaar=2026&taal=enThis course has a cap of 125 students. Students will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis. Student can only register for one of the courses 2IRR60, 2IRR70 and 2IRR80
In this course there are 4 introductory lectures, groupwork, and two intermediary deliverables.
After this course, the student is able to formulate observed functional, performance, and security issues in the operation of a distributed cyber-physical system of medium-sized complexity (ILO1). The student can formulate these such that they can be replicated (ILO2), and the student can analyse the combination of technologies/disciplinaries involved in these issues (ILO3). Finally, the student is able to work on the solution of issues in a methodical way, making use of combined basic disciplinary knowledge from relevant domains (ILO4). Note that, while the course contains hands-on deliverables and makes use of the students existing professional skills to show the quality of their work, it is not an explicit ILO of the course to improve those skills. A students final assessment may be influenced by a lack of such professional skills, but this is deemed fair considering the position of the course in the curriculum.
