Advanced Concrete Structures treats structural engineering and design on a contemporary and academic level. In reference to recent research developments at the TU/e and elsewhere, this course discusses advanced design and calculation methods (including Finite Element Analysis of structural concrete), sophisticated materials (High Performance, Fiber Reinforced), prestressed concrete, the interaction with new construction methods and digitalization (e.g. 3D concrete printing), and more.
