Description
SAIPho23 represents the follow-up of the first LCA Harmonization Workshop that successfully took place in Brussels in March 2023 bringing together several groups/institutes conducting LCA within diverse ongoing and completed EU projects on perovskite photovoltaics, such as VIPERLAB, TRIUMPH, IBC4EU, PILATUS, PEPPERONI, VALHALLA, SOLARUP, MC2.0, DIAMOND, ESPRESSO, APOLO, PERTPV etc.Stemming from that fruitful experience, SAIPho23 Workshop aims at:
• aligning and harmonizing the LCA methodology and subsequent results comparability for innovative PV technologies;
• supporting the implementation of prospective LCA with the definition of a methodological and data protocol
• discussing the potential integration and/or coupling of LCA studies with other environmental and socio-economic assessment models and methods
• fostering the creation of a “network” on sustainability assessment for supporting the development of the European technology roadmap for PV
• publishing a position paper focusing on the outcomes of the workshop
