Description
The rise of minimally invasive procedures stems from multiple benefits to both patient and clinician, including reduced treatment time and improved patient safety. Ultrasound provides non-invasive, non-ionizing, real-time, focal imagery with small form factors, making it a desirable imaging modality for such procedures compared to CT, MR and X-ray. Extensive experience is required to use medical ultrasound however, which limits its wide adoption. This talk will give an example of how ultrasound for local anesthesia can be made smart and simple to use.
