Speaker at Nacht van de Vrijdenker (philosophy festival), Ghent, Belgium, November 10, 2018. Other invited speakers were, among others, Steven Pinker, Philipp Blom, Ignaas Devisch, and Peter-Paul Verbeek. I participated in two debates: one on ‘Onlife – Offlife’, together with Hans Schnitzler and Caroline Pauwels (moderator: Fredo De Smet); and the other on ‘The robots are coming’, together with Mark Coeckelbergh, Luc Steels, and Bram Vanderborght (moderator: Pieter Van Nuffel).
