Title: "A New Turn in Planning: Transforming Urban Spaces with Prefigurative Practices".

Abstract: This talk explores how spatial justice can serve as a lens to reveal the socio-political processes that create and sustain urban inequalities. I argue that these inequalities are rooted in dominant imaginaries that shape how urban spaces are planned and governed. To challenge and transform these unjust structures, we must embrace alternative imaginaries that envision more just urban futures. This shift requires a "prefigurative turn" in planning - one that not only enables new possibilities but actively enacts them through transformative practices in the present, paving the way for just cities.
