Description
Young chip designers have to master complicated systems that involve physics, engineering and statistics. It takes ages before a student has sufficient knowledge to start designing. We want to both draw more people towards IC design and provide them with more design experience. We are therefore developing the game “IC Tycoon”. The player runs a company that designs ICs from circuit to layout. We will ultimately release the game to the general public. And since the game will run free PDK models, there is a chance that some of the game designs make it onto a real chip one day.
