Due to climate change, the intensity of heatwaves in the Netherlands is increasing. This results in a growing popularity of airconditioning. But airconditioning is not the most sustainable or healthy way to deal with hot weather. Promising alternatives, like shading, ventilation, heat storage, and taking a siesta are lagging behind because they require more effort and investment. To stimulate discussion around alternative forms of summer comfort, this exhibit presents three triggering fictions: Cooling Patch, Living Shirt and Urbicamp.
