Description
In today’s business environment, organizations are increasingly operating within ecosystems, joining their capabilities with those of partners to co-create and capture value through collaborative business models. However, many still struggle to establish traceability between their business models, operational processes, and IT infrastructures—an essential prerequisite for business agility and responsiveness to change. In this talk, I will discuss how we can design collaborative business models and systematically translate them into operating models and requirements for IT systems that realize their intended value. Building on our recent work on business engineering, I will illustrate approaches for aligning network value propositions of collaborative business models with organizational processes, key performance indicators, and IT system requirements, aiming to bridge the gap between collaborative business models and their operational implementation.
